HISTORY - JOSEPH KEEGAN & SONS LTD was established in 1881 by Joseph Henry Keegan bottling, wholesaling and retailing beers and soft drinks. Bottling continued well into the twentieth century with a contract to supply Guinness to Allied Breweries and the product was held in high esteem amongst stout drinkers both near and far with a reputation which was almost the envy of the Irish! Following the death of Joseph Keegan in 1964 the business continued to be run by his grandson, Francis Joseph Campbell

Bottling ceased in 1986 and the business then diversified into retailing with the purchase of their first Public House, The Seventy Nine, which continues to be run by the family today. Expansion continued in 1992 with acquisition of another wholesale business - James Fearon Wines - a fine wine business servicing the Hotel and Restaurant trade in the area and as the internet era emerged the Company improved their information technology presence further with the development of a state of the art website - James Fearon Wines - a mail order concept offering fine wines delivered to the door of any UK address within 24 hours! This site has brought a new dimension to Customer care and contact allowing them to take maximum advantage of up to date information about us and the services we provide day or night - a concept the business puts great emphasis on as we all embrace the ground breaking technology available to all in the twenty first century.

We now have over 2000 listings of Beers, Wines, Spirits and Soft Drinks from all major UK suppliers and pride ourselves as being first in both choice and service levels which always exceed the expectations of the most discerning Customers whether they be a Pub, Club, Restaurant or Hotel; and with friendly, loyal and efficient Staff professionally implementing the Company philosophy it has proved a winning combination for so many years! Francis Joseph Campbell retired in 1999 and his sons - Mark (until his tragic and untimely death in June 2006 aged 48), Peter and Jonathan have followed on from their father and great grandfather continuing to make Quality Independent Service to the Licensed Trade their hallmark - leaders in the supply of Beers, Wines, Spirits, and Soft Drinks in North and mid Wales.
